I reinstalled it but the problem persisted. Then I realized my graphics driver was not working. I can only find "Microsoft basic display adapter". But when I went to "display adapter", I found my amd graphics driver is not listed there. I googled the issue 'n find one solution that is to update the driver under "display adapter" under "device manager". But nothing happened, the screen brightness didn't go down. Everything was going fine then I tried to lower the screen brightness, I tried from hotkeys i.e.
So after W10 installation, I installed some drivers such as AMD HD graphics, Realtech sound, Realtech wireless LAN. I had already downloaded drivers from HP site. Since it had free DOS pre installed, I immediately installed Windows 10 pro 64 bit. It has AMD Raedon R4 integrated graphics. If the error occurs after updating display adapter drivers, you can try rolling back to the previous version.I bought a new hp laptop from e-commerce site "Snapdeal". Check you have the right driver version installed for your display adapter, and make sure they are up to date. Incorrect, out-of-date, or corrupted graphics card drivers can also cause a "DisplayPort not detected" error. Update or Reinstall Display Adapter Drivers
If you have never installed drivers for your monitor, check the manufacturer's website to see if it needs them. Some monitors require additional drivers to be installed before certain features are enabled. If this doesn't work, and your monitor or graphics card has multiple DisplayPort ports, try repeating the process using different ports. Turn your monitor back on and boot your computer. Wait 30 seconds and plug the cable back in, making sure you hear the click of the locking connector when inserting the cable into the ports.
Turn off your computer and monitor, and unplug the DisplayPort Cable.
